Texture Tools

Overview

Texture Tools is a user-friendly add-on that allows you to download, manage, and preview images from the internet directly within Blender.

This tool simplifies the process of integrating online textures into your workflow by providing a seamless way to fetch and organize images.

Features

• Download Images from URLs – Fetch images from an internet link and store them locally.
• Local Image Management – Access previously saved textures without redownloading.
• Image Preview – View the saved image directly in Blender before applying it.

Installation

1. Download the add-on .zip file.

2. Open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.

3. Click Install and select the downloaded .zip file.

4. Enable the add-on by checking the box next to its name.

5. Save Preferences and close the window.

Usage Guide

• Input Image URL & NameOpen : the add-on panel (found in the N sidebar or properties workflow under tools context).Enter the image URL in the URL input field.Assign a custom name for the texture.
• Download & ApplyClick : the Download button to fetch and save the image.The image will be stored in your local directory.
• Manage Local Images : Click the Local button to browse previously downloaded textures.Select an image for reuse in Blender.assign name to it and click import image button
• Preview Saved Images : The Saved Image Preview feature displays the last downloaded image in the add-on panel.there is search input to search image by namethe image is previewed with its resolution to give you the quality of the image you are applying

Troubleshooting & Notes

Ensure you have a stable internet connection when downloading images.

If an image fails to download, check if the URL is valid and publicly accessible.

Large images may take longer to process.
